Safety & Tips

Water zorbing, also known as water walking balls or water orbs, can be an exciting activity for children, but it's important to prioritize safety. Here are some key safety tips to keep in mind:

  1. Supervision: Always ensure that children are supervised by a responsible adult when participating in water zorbing activities. An adult should be present to monitor the children at all times and be ready to assist if needed.

  2. Life Jackets: Children should wear properly fitted life jackets or personal flotation devices (PFDs) while inside the water zorbing balls, especially if they are not strong swimmers. This will provide an extra layer of safety in case of any accidents.

  3. Check Equipment: Before allowing children to use the water zorbing balls, inspect the equipment for any signs of damage or wear and tear. Make sure the zorbing balls are properly inflated and securely sealed.

  4. Safety Briefing: Provide children with a safety briefing before they enter the water zorbing balls. Teach them how to properly enter and exit the balls, as well as any rules or guidelines they need to follow while inside.

  5. Stay Hydrated: Remind children to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water before, during, and after their water zorbing session, especially on hot days.

  6. Weather Conditions: Be mindful of weather conditions before allowing children to participate in water zorbing activities. Avoid zorbing during thunderstorms, high winds, or other adverse weather conditions.

  7. Location: Choose a safe and suitable location for water zorbing, such as a calm and shallow body of water with a soft bottom. Avoid areas with strong currents, obstacles, or hazards.

  8. Exit Strategy: Ensure that children are aware of how to safely exit the water zorbing balls in case of an emergency. Teach them how to unzip or open the ball from the inside and swim to safety.

  9. Medical Considerations: Consider any medical conditions or limitations that children may have before allowing them to participate in water zorbing. Consult with a healthcare professional if necessary.

  10. Hygiene: Encourage children to practice good hygiene by showering before and after using the water zorbing balls to reduce the risk of infections or illnesses
